Save, Spend, Share — Jar Labels & Tracker
Cut out the three labels, tape them to jars, and let every bit of money get split before it gets spent.
How it works: Every time money comes in — allowance, a
job, a birthday — it gets divided across the three jars before anything
is spent. Let your child choose the split and write it on the labels. Deciding
the percentages is the lesson; the jars just make it visible.

The question to ask: when the SAVE jar finally buys the thing
— “was it worth everything you didn’t buy while you were
waiting?” That’s the whole idea of cost, and they’ll have
felt it rather than been told it.
