Fallacy Bingo

Sixteen bad arguments loose in the wild. Catch one in an ad, the news, or an argument — write where you heard it and mark the square. Ages 9–16.

Rules: squares only count with evidence — write where you heard it. Three in a row wins. A full card is legendary and probably means you watched the news. Catching one in your own argument counts double.
Attacking the person
“You would say that.”
Heard:
Everybody’s doing it
“Everyone has one.”
Heard:
The exaggerated version
“So you want NO rules at all?”
Heard:
Only two choices
“Either we ban it, or we’re doomed.”
Heard:
The slippery slope
“Next thing you know…”
Heard:
A famous person said it
“A celebrity posted it.”
Heard:
Feelings as proof
“How can you even say no?”
Heard:
Moving the goalposts
“Fine — but now prove THIS.”
Heard:
After it, so because of it
“Lucky socks won the game.”
Heard:
Well, you do it too
“YOU’re on your phone all day!”
Heard:
We’ve always done it
“That’s just tradition.”
Heard:
It’s new, so it’s better
“This changes everything.”
Heard:
Round in circles
“It’s true because it’s true.”
Heard:
The distraction
“Forget that — look at this!”
Heard:
One example proves it
“My cousin tried it once.”
Heard:
The loaded question
“Why do you hate fun?”
Heard:
Worth saying before you start: spotting a fallacy doesn’t win the argument — someone can make a terrible case for a true thing. The game is noticing when a reason isn’t doing the work it pretends to.
